Next Steps

Now that we've met for the first time, and you've begun to give serious consideration to your dissertation topics, you should be able to focus your readings to prepare for both your doctoral exam and your proposal hearing. Be sure to simplify - get to the heart of what you're really interested in examining. Once you have an idea of what 3 areas of the scholarly literature you're going to study, please email me so that we can have a 1-to-1 conversation about it.

Please use this course as an opportunity to focus on your topic, and to begin to feel comfortable writing - and giving constructive feedback to your colleagues about theirs.
